We arrived at around 5:30pm, just on time to enjoy a glass of wine and cheese and crackers. The host was extremely helpful and gave us some great tips on where to go and stay. The complex is very colorful and has a Spanish feel. The room was located towards the side street which might be more quiet versus the rooms facing the hot-tub (which we did not use). The hotel is literally a block from the beach, harbor and boulevard. There are plenty of restaurants on the boulevard to choose from however the evening scene is really happening on state street, which is walkable (if you do not mind walking for a half hour). Over all fabulous room, the chairs very comfortable, bed perfect and shower clean. My husband and I would for sure recommend this to friends and family. For the price you can not beat it.
I enjoyed the quietness of the corner room, the 5-7 pm wine & cheese time, & the continental breakfast was more than just toast & coffee. The staff was excellent & friendly as well as very accommodating to my requests.
The queen bed could be made more comfortable with a topper mattress. There also, could be a place to put one dresser in the room.
Enjoyed my stay very much. Complimentary wine and cheese, and breakfast were fantastic. Would stay again.
Jacuuzi closed too early (9pm)
The staff (William and Haley) were responsive and excellent, accommodating every need.
Poor internet connection in the rooms.
The facility as a whole was charming. The location was very convenient to both the beach and downtown. The staff, all two of them, were very courteous young men.
Our room was terrible. The bare linoleum floor was cracked and patched. The bath cabnetry was truly ancient. The entrance was straight from a very busy street. There is no air conditioning so, with open windows and noisy traffic, it was difficult to sleep. We paid the same price for our room as others paid for charming rooms situated on quiet pathways. Because we arrived late in the evening, from Amtrak, we were stuck with the worst room in the hotel. We won't stay there again.
New furniture, clean room, great location. Nice staff. Complementary wine and cheese in the afternoon!
The coffee maker was broken.
Good location for our needs, pet friendly, friendly staff
The room was comfortable, the breakfast was good and the location was good for a visit to Santa Barbara.
It was noisy - our room was on the outside at the corner of two streets. There was no air conditioning so we had to keep the windows open.
the room was fabulous
the ddesk staff was not well trained, and we had quite a hassle as they authorized our credit card twice
Easy to find! Nice staff and nice rooms.
Promblems with WiFi?
During the evening there are cheese and wine at the reception for customers
It's expansive for the rooms that they offer: there were small, old and small tv too.
Close proximity to the beach and the fact that it was pet friendly was a plus. Access to the boardwalk and State Street was great and the staff were friendly and the room was clean and attended to with speed when cleaning was needed. The coffee was good and the continental breakfast selection was good. Will stay again
Darling inn with wonderful staff. They directed us to good restauants in the area. The place is immaculate with a warm fireplace in the lobby that welcomes people. Wine and cheese are offered every evening and a continental breakfast is also there for the guests to enjoy.
It was very charming and is pet-friendly. The staff was pleasant, and the room sparkling clean.
Location. Decor. Staff.
Continental breakfast was a bit sparse compared to others.
